American Self Storage is proudly family-owned and operated by Ben and Susanne Culpepper, lifelong residents of Valdosta, Georgia. Both were born and raised in Valdosta and attended Valdosta State University. Since the early 1980s, they have been involved in the small business community and have built their reputation on honesty, hard work, and exceptional customer service.
Family has always been at the center of everything they do. Ben and Susanne are the proud parents of two sons, Brandon and Harrison Culpepper. Both sons graduated from Lowndes High School and later earned degrees from Valdosta State University. Brandon and his wife, Bridgette, are raising two children of their own, continuing the strong family values that have guided the Culpepper family for generations.

Tips to Make Things Easier
- Don't forget to use valuable space inside drawers and larger appliances to store small items.
- Break down large items such as bed frames, tables, and large furniture. (Don't forget to keep all parts together so that they don't get lost.)
- Wrap furniture legs with protective bubble wrap or furniture covers to prevent scratching.
- Label boxes on all sides for easy identification.
- Make sure fragile boxes are placed on top of heavier and less delicate boxes.
- Be sure not to over pack boxes as they can get heavy and fall apart.
- Place frequently accessed items towards the front of your storage unit for easy and quick access.
- The less frequently needed items should be placed toward the rear of the self storage unit.
- Boxes should be tightly sealed with packing tape to prevent dust from entering.
- Do not store anything flammable, perishable, combustible, or hazardous in the storage units.
- Drain any fluids prior to storing leaf blowers, lawnmowers, and other equipment.
